Riyadh – Mubasher: Arabian Centres Company (ACC) has opened on 15 October Saudi Arabia’s largest cinema theatre complex at Mall of Dhahran shopping centre.

The new cineplex spans a total of 9,663 square meters of the mall's gross leasable area (GLA) and includes 18 screens and 2,368 seats, according to a bourse filing on Monday.

Due to the current global health crisis, the cineplex will be running at 50% capacity until further notice.

“ACC strives to provide consumers with the full range of shopping, leisure, and entertainment options no matter where they are in Saudi Arabia. This is in line with our belief in a lifestyle-oriented business model that leverages the great progress made under Vision 2030,” said the company’s CEO, Faisal Al Jedaie.

“Mall of Dhahran marks the tenth ACC location which has installed a cineplex. The company’s centres now host 103 cinema screens nationwide, and we expect to launch nine additional cinemas across our portfolio by 2021, further strengthening ACC’s leading position in the areas of leisure and entertainment,” he continued.
