SDAIA announces Global AI Summit agenda
The holding of the summit coincides with Saudi Arabia's presidency of the G20 meetings.

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) announced on Tuesday the agenda of the Global AI Summit, which will kick off on 21-22 October 2020, under the theme of “AI for the Good of Humanity”.

The summit’s participants will try to establish specific recommendations for effective national artificial intelligence (AI) strategies in the new normal. The summit has been designed for maximum collaboration and interaction with experts to inspire visions of the future and discover how AI technologies will shape our future, according to a press release.  

SDAIA President, Abdullah bin Sharaf bin Jamaan Al Ghamdi, will open the Global AI Summit with a keynote speech, followed by a series of sessions and workshops on four main topics namely, Shaping the New Normal, AI and Governments, Governing AI, and the Future of AI.

Noteworthy, the holding of the summit coincides with Saudi Arabia's presidency of the G20 meetings.

Moreover, the summit’s attendees will set the stage for insightful dialogue and innovative ideas on a global scale, both in terms of recovering from the coronavirus pandemic and key trends in AI.

The event is expected to bring together some of the brightest and best international leaders, innovators, decision-makers, experts and academics, as well as leading technology companies, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Furthermore, the two-day summit will witness the launch of the National Strategy for Data and Artificial Intelligence in Saudi Arabia, which aims to drive the Vision 2030 goals forward with the support of relevant authorities and the guidance of SDAIA.
