Egypt is expected to the only country in MENA to achieve economic growth

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s cabinet showcased a number of economic indicators measured by the World Bank in its report “Trading Together — Reviving Middle East and North Africa Regional Integration in the Post-COVID Era.”

The report showed that foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to Egypt increased by 11% in $9 billion in 2019, thanks to the structural reforms which helped the country regain investor confidence, according to a cabinet statement on Wednesday.

The cabinet also referred to the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) report which expected Egypt to be the only country to achieve positive growth in the MENA region during the pandemic.
