Cairo – Mubasher: Edita Food Industries recorded a 25% year-on-year (YoY) fall in its consolidated net profits, registering EGP 214.53 million in the first nine months of 2020, compared to EGP 285.23 million, including minority shareholders’ rights.

Over the January-September period, the company’s sales slumped to EGP 2.79 billion from EGP 2.93 billion in the year-ago period, according to a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.

As for standalone business, Edita logged EGP 253.69 million in net profits in the nine-month period ended 30 September, up from EGP 252.13 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.

During the first half (H1) of 2020, the company achieved net profits of EGP 93.78 million, down from EGP 167.8 million in H1-19.
