Egypt-Kenya bilateral trade hits $303m in H1-20
Egypt’s exports to Kenya increased to $202 million

Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Egypt and Kenya increased by 4.5% to $303 million during the first half (H1) of 2020 from $290 million in the year-ago period, the Middle East News Agency reported on Sunday, citing the Head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Nairobi, Khaled Mansour, as saying.

Egypt’s exports to Kenya increased to $202 million in the January-June period from $193 million in the year-ago period, while the North African nation’s imports from Kenya grew to $99 million from $97 million in H1-19, Mansour revealed.

The top Egyptian exports to Kenya include sugar, soap, diapers, electronics, and pasta, while the most populous nation’s imports from Kenya include tea, who accounted for 90% of total imports, as well as some agricultural crops.
