Riyadh – Mubasher: Abdulmohsen Alhokair Group for Tourism and Development Company said its 31%-owned subsidiary, Luxury Entertainment LLC, opened on 4 January its first two movie theatres in Saudi Arabia under Cinepolis brand name.

The first cinema is located in Lulu Mall at Al Adamah District in Al Dammam city and comprises seven movie screens with 636 seating capacity while the second one is in Al Jamea Plaza at Jeddah’s Al Jamea District with eight movie screens and 892 seating capacity, according to a bourse disclosure on Tuesday.

The opening of these two locations is part of the company’s ambitious plan to expand its cinema business in more cities across the kingdom in the coming years.

It is expected that the material impact of these openings will be reported in the company’s financial results for the first quarter (Q1) of 2021.
