UAE stock markets resume upward performance on Monday
The benchmark index of the DFM rose by 1.59%

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have resumed upward performance on Monday.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.59% or 42.43 points to close Monday's trading session at 2,696.40 points.

A total of 114.12 million shares were traded through 2,794 transactions valued at AED 182.21 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 4.16 billion to AED 360.90 billion, compared to AED 356.74 billion during the previous session.

Emirates Refreshments Co came on top of the rising stocks with 14.85%, while Al Madina for Finance and Investment led the losing stocks with 4.93%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up by 0.74% to settle at 5,634.76 points by the end of Monday's trading session.

Turnover amounted to AED 520.84 million after 144.43 million shares had been exchanged through 3,897 transactions.

The market cap value rose by around AED 3.68 billion to AED 793.49 billion, compared to AED 789.81 billion during the previous session.

Emirates Insurance headed the green zone with 8.57%, while Gulf Cement Co (GCEM) topped the red zone with 5%.
