Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The net profits attributable to the shareholders of Agthia Group plunged to AED 34.471 million in 2020 from AED 137.026 million in 2019, according to the company's preliminary results for the period ended 31 December 2020.

Lower net profits are driven by the unfavorable sales mix and the extra cost borne to guarantee business continuity, namely in the first half (H1) of 2020.

The group's revenues reached AED 2.061 billion in 2020, up 1.1% from AED 2.039 billion in the earlier year.

The earnings per share (EPS) settled at AED 0.057 in 2020, versus AED 0.228 in the previous year.

It is noteworthy to mention that in the first nine months of 2020, the group, part of ADQ, recorded AED 10 million net profits attributable to the owners, when compared to AED 117.24 million in the same period of 2019.
