CBK launches Diraya campaign to address e-crimes, e-fraud
The campaign messages are published through several channels

Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has recently launched 'Be Aware' Campaign (Diraya in Arabic) to enhance public awareness on e-fraud and e-crime, in cooperation with Kuwait Banking Association (KBA).

With the participation of all Kuwaiti banks, the campaign also contributes to raising awareness on the role of the banking sector and the benefits of banks' services, according to a press release on Wednesday.

Obtaining confidential banking information, such as account number and PIN number, through email, text messages, smartphone applications, or direct phone calls could be used for theft of money or personal data.

Hence, Diraya campaign launched an advert to warn customers about e-fraud and protect their banking and personal data by avoiding any exchange of banking information via phone calls, emails, messages, or other means.

The campaign messages are published through several channels, namely in the CBK and Kuwaiti banks’ accounts on social networks platforms
