Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Chemical Industries (Kima) turned to net losses of EGP 631.26 million in the first half (H1) of fiscal year 2020/2021, versus net profits of EGP 42.78 million in the corresponding period a year earlier, the unaudited financial results showed.

Revenues surged to EGP 691.16 million in the July-December period of 2020, compared to EGP 120.85 million in the prior-year period, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Tuesday.

During the first quarter (Q1) of FY20/21, the company incurred net losses of EGP 414.84 million, against net profits of EGP 80.1 million in Q1 of FY19/20.
