Forbes 2021 Annual Billionaires List includes four Emiratis
Majid Al Futtaim led four Emiratis on the list

UAE - Mubasher: Forbes' 35th annual list of the world's wealthiest people in 2021 has included four Emirati investors.

Placed at number 831 in the Forbes Billionaires 2021 list, Majid Al Futtaim, the founder of retailing and entertainment giant Majid Al Futtaim Holding, led the UAE spots on the list with a $3.6 billion net worth. In 2020, Al Futtaim occupied the 590th position in the list with $3.3 billion.

The number of billionaires on Forbes’ 35th annual list jumped by 660, reaching an unprecedented record of 2,755 in 2021, compared to 2020, including 11 billionaires from the UAE.

Forbes' billionaires are worth $13.1 trillion in 2021, up from $8 trillion in 2020.

The US has the highest number of billionaires, with 724, followed by China, including Hong Kong and Macao, with 698.

Al Futtaim was followed by Abdulla Al Ghurair, the founder of Mashreq Bank, who was placed at the 1,111th position, with a net worth of $2.8 billion.

Meanwhile, Hussain Sajwani, the Chairman of Dubai-based Damac Properties, ranked 1,299th on the list with a net worth of $2.4 billion.

 Abdulla Al Futtaim, the owner of Al Futtaim Group, occupied the 1,444th position among the world's richest people in 2021, with a $2.2 billion net worth.
