UAE - Mubasher: Dubai's consumer price index (CPI) retreated by 3.87% year-on-year (YoY) to 101.01 points in March 2021, according to the latest data by the Dubai Statistics Centre.
The prices of the housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels segment decreased by 8.68% in March, compared to the same month of 2020.
The prices of food and beverages, clothing and footwear, and tobacco segments declined by 3.97%, 2.57%, and 0.56% YoY, respectively.
Meanwhile, the prices of the transport, restaurants and hotels, as well as furnishings, household equipment, and routine household maintenance rose by 0.93%, 0.77%, and 0.73%, respectively.
On a monthly basis, Dubai's CPI went down 0.02%, when compared to February.
