Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index rose by 1% to close at 10,780 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 climbed by 2.08% to 2,230 points.

Likewise, the EGX100 EWI advanced by 2.04% to 3,187 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI increased by 2.44% to 2,182 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 8.04 billion to close at EGP 679.667 billion.

Local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 158.55 million and EGP 132.2 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 290.77 million.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.66 billion after 700.96 million shares were exchanged through about 58,870.
