The wheat shipment weighs 60,000 tonnes

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Agriculture and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) announced that its first cargo of Australian wheat has been shipped from Port Kembla on 23 May, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The shipment, which weighs 60,000 tonnes, is expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia by mid-June.

SALIC, a Saudi joint-stock company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), said this cargo is part of the Saudi Grains Organization’s tender to purchase 355,000 tonnes of wheat.

The required amount of wheat will be shipped from Australia, Ukraine, and Canada through six shipments starting next month, and until the end of December this year.
