Advanced Technology Research Council opens office in Masdar City
The ATRC focuses on the research and development strategy

UAE - Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), with its entities Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and ASPIRE, has launched its headquarters in Masdar City to join the other sustainable technology innovators.

Established in May 2020, the ATRC focuses on the research and development strategy in Abu Dhabi, while TII is the ATRC's dedicated applied research pillar and ASPIRE, is the technology programme management pillar, according to a press release on Monday.

The Council aims to shape Abu Dhabi’s research strategy across academia and industry, align investment in scientific enquiry, and build partnerships with local and global organisations.

The Secretary-General of ATRC, Faisal Al Bannai, said: "Our world-renowned scientists and researchers will be working on delivering transformative science and disruptive technological innovations at TII’s seven initial research centers of excellence within our Masdar City headquarters."

Meanwhile, the CEO of Masdar, Mohamed Al Ramahi, commented: "The work and vision of ATRC, TII and ASPIRE to deliver discovery science and transformative technologies, that will not only prepare for the future but create it, perfectly aligns with Masdar’s vision to build a more sustainable future for all."
