Vaccinated GCC guests to enter Switzerland without quarantine, testing
The Swiss government is adhering to the opening strategy of the EU

Mubasher: All visitors from the Arabian Gulf countries who are vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to enter Switzerland without the need to undergo quarantine nor testing.

This decision has come to effect on 26 June, according to a press release on Sunday.

Emergency-use vaccinations, including Sinopharm, that are approved by the European Medical Agency (EMA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) will be accepted up to 12 months after full vaccination.

Unvaccinated children of up to 16 years old can travel with their vaccinated parents, yet those aged between 16 and 18 years old need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Emiratis, however, don’t need a visa to enter Switzerland.

“The Swiss government stated that it is adhering to the opening strategy of the EU, or rather the Schengen area, and will therefore open the country’s borders to vaccinated people, from June 26, just in time for the summer holidays,” according to the press release.
