Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia to develop new 5G use cases to accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises in the UAE.
The use cases will enhance operational and cost efficiency across various industrial sectors in the UAE, including manufacturing, transport, shipping, aviation, energy, and health, for their digital transformation, according to a press release on Monday.
Under the partnership, Nokia will offer its latest innovative and end-to-end enterprise solutions, such as high-speed enterprise digital solutions and enterprise 5G use cases, for resale under Nokia’s global partner programme.
The Chief Technology Officer at du, Saleem AlBlooshi, said: "du and Nokia are working towards accelerating enterprise 5G use case development and enabling UAE enterprises to experience the future on our 5G network."
Meanwhile, the Head of the Middle East Market Unit, Nokia MEA, Rima Manna, commented: "With its low latency and ultra-high-speed capabilities, 5G will open the door to wider opportunities, innovative solutions, and applications – enabling new revenue streams from industrial transformation."
