Cairo - Mubasher: Gold prices in Egypt witnessed a sideways-to-declining performance on Monday, falling by about EGP 1 per gram, as the global price inched down to $1,801 per ounce.
The price of 21-karat gold in Egypt retreated to EGP 786 per gram, while the per-gram prices of 18- and 24-karat gold stood at EGP 675 and EGP 900, respectively, the Secretary-General of the Gold Division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), Nady Naguib, told Mubasher.
The price of the gold pound reached EGP 6,240.
