Dubai – Mubasher: The net profits of Emaar Malls jumped by 80% to AED 622 million in the first half (H1) of 2021, compared to AED 345 million in the year-ago period.

The companies generated revenues of AED 2.048 billion in H1-21, up 23% from AED 1.66 billion in the same period of 2020, according to a press release on Tuesday.

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, the company's revenues increased by 74% to AED 1.147 billion from AED 661 million in the same quarter of 2020.

Meanwhile, Emaar Mall's e-commerce fashion and lifestyle platform, Namshi, registered sales of AED 427 million in Q2-21, up 65% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).

The Emaar spokesperson said: "With customers' expectations consistently evolving, along with the growth of new target markets, it is critical that Emaar Malls continues to reimagine the retail sector and deliver innovative, unmatched experiences."

It is noteworthy to mention that in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, the company's net profits dropped by 16% to AED 318 million, compared to AED 378 million in the same quarter of 2020.
