Mubasher: A new online platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) solutions claims it can make the recruitment process easier for both employers and job candidates, cutting down hiring time by 80%.

Launched by US-based Velents, ConvoRecruit is a conversational hiring tool available in both English and Arabic that allows businesses and job applicants to communicate and complete the hiring process through WhatsApp.

Velents Founder Mohamed Gaber says his company wants to make the hiring process smarter, easier, more efficient and less costly for recruiters.

He further explained that although many companies share job vacancies via the messaging application, the process is quite long and tiresome for hiring managers who may get over 700 resumes for a single job posting, so the aim is to make the hiring process as short and as efficient as possible.

Through the new tool, candidates apply and provide the necessary information that is then uploaded to the hiring company's portal to be assessed and undergo an AI-powered psychometric assessment, along with other analyses of the applicant’s introductory video, responses, and resume, with no intervention from the recruiter or hiring manager.

The final results of the most suitable candidates for a job are then sent to the hiring company to see if they need to include a technical assessment.

This should make it easier for hiring companies, as applicants can engage and communicate directly with a bot and then the software will sort them by relevance, based on the psychometric matching and assessment. Velents also says that candidates can also easily track their applications via the mobile app or website.
