ADX cancels minimum commission fees on listed securities trading
These initiatives are in line with the 'ADX One' strategy

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has canceled its minimum commission fees on the trading of all listed securities starting 31 August to facilitate higher volumes of small trades and attract individual investors to the market, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

This decision was issued after ADX had announced on Saturday, 28 August, a 50% reduction in trading commissions and an extension of market opening hours.

Effective 1 September 2021, the reduction in trading fees to 0.025% from 0.05% is the market's second commission cut this year and the third in three years.

These initiatives are in line with the 'ADX One' strategy announced at the beginning of 2021 to boom activities and deepen liquidity on the exchange.

The CEO of ADX, Saeed Hamad Al Dhaheri, said: "By waiving the minimum fee and reducing commission rates on all listed securities, we are providing more cost-effective trading for individual investors, ensuring that they benefit from the investment opportunities available to institutional investors."
