UAE - Mubasher: Abu Dhabi will welcome fully vaccinated travellers from all countries around the world, alongside unvaccinated visitors from ‘Green List’ countries, with no quarantine measures from 5 September.

Under the new guidelines, vaccinated travellers from all over the world will be required to show a negative PCR test taken a maximum of 48 hours before departure and take a PCR test at the airport on arrival, according to a press release on Thursday.

Vaccinated travellers from the ‘Green List’ countries are required to undergo one more PCR test on the sixth day of their arrival, while vaccinated travellers from the countries outside the list will take one more PCR test on the fourth and eighth days.

On August 20, Abu Dhabi has put a ‘Green Pass’ protocol to allow only those that are fully vaccinated, officially exempted, or under 16 years of age to access public places.

Hence, fully vaccinated individuals are required to present a negative PCR test taken within the last 30 days to maintain ‘green’ status on Alhosn app, while officially exempted individuals will submit a negative PCR test taken within the last seven days.
