Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday's trading session on a positive note on the back of local purchases. 

The main EGX30 index rose by 0.41% to end at 11,135 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 0.63% to 2,854 points. 

Likewise, the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.58% to 3,847 points and the EGX50 EWI added 0.14% to 2,400 points. 

The market cap value grew by EGP 2.64 billion to close to EGP 727.075 billion. 

Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.04 million and EGP 4.5 million, respectively, while local investors were net buyers with EGP 6.6 million. 

The market's turnover stood at EGP 1.39 billion after 446.67 million shares were exchanged through nearly 47,500 transactions.
