UAE - Mubasher: Dubai has recorded the third-highest level of business confidence in ten years because of the positive impact of Expo 2020 Dubai, as shown by a new survey from Dubai Chamber.

The quarterly business leaders’ outlook survey has reflected that 76% of respondents expressed improved business confidence in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2021, compared to 66% in the third quarter (Q3) and 48% in the second quarter (Q2).

Around 78% of survey respondents have expected that their businesses would benefit from Expo 2020 Dubai in the coming months, and 83% of business leaders have referred to an improvement in business conditions in Q4-2021.

The President and CEO of Dubai Chamber, Hamad Buamim, said that the other factors that led to growing optimism within the local business community are increased government support for the private sector and success in overcoming coronavirus (COVID-19)-related challenges.

Buamim added that new business incentives, easing travel restrictions, and higher oil prices have also contributed to the positive outlook.

The President and CEO of Dubai Chamber commented that trade, tourism, hospitality, and logistics are the sectors that are forecast to witness the most business activity during the mega event.
