Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday's trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.
The main EGX30 index climbed by 1.2% to end at 10,662 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI edged up by 0.07% to 2,664 points.
Likewise, the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.17% to 3,614 points and the EGX50 EWI rose by 0.41% to 2,277 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 2.8 billion to close at EGP 701.811 billion on Sunday, compared to EGP 699.01 billion at the end of Wednesday's trading session.
The market's turnover amounted to EGP 950.83 million after 215.58 million shares were exchanged through nearly 29,590 transactions.
Local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 95.31 million and EGP 36.45 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 131.76 million.
