Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Greek Ministry of the Environment and Energy to study the implementation of an electricity interconnection project between the two countries.
The project includes extending a subsea cable connecting the two countries to exchange electricity, according to a statement on Thursday.
The deal will enhance the region’s power supply and allow further development of renewable energy sources.
