Cairo – Mubasher: Remittances from Egyptian expatriates rose by 10.2% year-on-year (YoY) or $1.7 billion during the first seven months of 2021, according to data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
Remittances from Egyptians living abroad reached $18.7 billion in the January-July period, compared to $17 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier, data showed.
The remittances slightly declined by 3% to $2.79 billion in July from $2.88 billion in the same month in 2020.
