UAE – Mubasher: The foreign assets of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) rose by 16% to AED 412.06 billion in August 2021, compared to AED 355.2 billion in the same month of 2020.
The CBUAE recorded foreign deposits of AED 248.5 billion in August 2021, down from AED 310.11 billion in the year-ago period, according to the latest data by the central bank.
The central bank's foreign securities jumped to AED 122.38 billion in August 2021 from AED 12.66 billion in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the other foreign assets amounted to AED 41.18 billion in August 2021, up from AED 32.43 billion in the corresponding month of 2020.
