Egyptian-French trade exchange hits $3bn in 2020
French investments in Egypt reached EUR 5 million

Cairo – Mubasher: Bilateral trade between Egypt and France increased by 20% year-on-year (YoY) to about $3 billion in 2020, Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said. 

During a meeting with representatives of 90 French companies at the headquarters of the Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF) in Paris, Madbouly said that France has long been a key partner and supporter of Egypt, according to a statement on Monday. 

Egypt is one of the top destinations for French investments with a value of about EUR 5 million as there are 165 French companies that create about 38,000 jobs in the country. 

During the meeting, several French firms voiced their interest in expanding their investments in the most populous Arab nation.
