Cairo – Mubasher: Al Baraka Bank-Egypt posted net profits of EGP 1.02 billion in the first nine months of 2021, down by 8.9% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 1.12 billion, including minority shareholders' rights.
The bank's net interest income grew to EGP 2.14 billion in the January-September period, compared to EGP 1.85 billion in the prior-year period, according to a bourse disclosure on Sunday.
As for standalone business, the bank recorded net profits of EGP 1.03 billion in the nine-month period ended 30 September, down from EGP 1.12 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.
In the first half (H1) of 2021, the bank logged net profits of EGP 611.88 million, up from EGP 543.67 million in H1-20, including minority shareholders' rights.
