Dubai's total trade volume hits AED 731bn in H1-21

UAE - Mubasher: Dubai's trade volume has jumped by 32.8% year-on-year (YoY) to AED 731 billion during the first half (H1) of 2021, compared to AED 551 billion, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

The auto spare parts sector has accounted for 3.9% of Dubai's total trade volume with AED 22.3 billion, including AED 11.4 billion imports, AED 9.5 billion exports, and AED 1.4 billion re-exports, as shown by the Dubai Customs' data.

A total of five countries were the largest trading partners in Dubai's auto spare parts sector in H1-21, representing AED 8.37 billion of the total spare parts trade volume.

The top five auto spare parts trading partners with the emirate include Japan with AED 2.85 billion, China with AED 1.53 billion, Saudi Arabia with AED 1.38 billion, and the US with AED 1.34 billion.

These data were announced during the 18th edition of Automechanika Dubai, being held from 14 – 16 December.
