UAE - Mubasher: Dubai International's (DXB) has started operating at full capacity with the opening of all terminals, concourses, lounges, restaurants, and retail outlets.
This step came after the final phase of Concourse A at DXB Terminal 3 had resumed its operation, according to a press release on Monday.
Terminal 3 is forecast to serve over 1.6 million passengers in the second half (H2) of December amid the seasonal travel period.
In November, the number of passengers at DXB reached 1 million per week, with origin-destination passengers recording 94% of pre-pandemic levels.
Following the closure in March 2020, DXB has begun to resume its operations with the reopening of Terminals 2 and 3 and Concourses B and C for normal inbound passenger operations from 22 June 2020.
The CEO of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths, said: "Reaching the point where 100% of our facilities are now open and serving customers, plus the huge resurgence in passengers arriving into Dubai marks an important milestone for the aviation sector as well as for the city of Dubai and its economic growth."
Griffiths added: "The rate of recovery of DXB has exceeded most other airports of comparable size and highlights the positive international reputation that Dubai has as an attractive city that has taken decisive steps to protect its visitors and residents."
