UAE – Mubasher: Emirates SkyCargo has transported 600 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines since October 2020, according to a press release.

The company managed to carry 2.8 million kilograms (2,800 tonnes) of COVID-19 vaccines from 35 origins to more than 80 destinations.

Nearly two thirds of the total vaccines were transported to Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, said Nabil Sultan, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President at Emirates SkyCargo.

The company saw a steady increase in the demand for transporting COVID-19 vaccines during the second half (H2) of 2021.

In October and November this year, Emirates SkyCargo delivered over 200 million jabs of COVID-19 vaccines, representing one third of the total amount transported since the pandemic began.
