Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, is hosting the first-ever Future Minerals Forum for three days starting today, 11 January.

The event is held under the patronage of the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at King Abdulaziz International Conference Center.

The forum will bring together Saudi ministers as well as representatives of the regional and international mining industry to join over 2,000 decision-makers from more than 100 destinations.

Officials from multilateral global organisations, including the World Bank, International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), and World Gold Council, will attend the forum to share their knowledge and insights.

Last week, the event’s integrated programme was unveiled, as the forum is featuring various subjects, opportunities, and challenges facing the global mining industry.

Saudi Arabia’s Vice-Minister of Mining Affairs, Khalid Al Mudaifer, earlier said: "Our ambition is to shape the future of mining and find solutions to industry challenges such as securing supply of future critical minerals."
