Mubadala leads $500m equity investment in Singapore's data centre company

UAE - Mubasher: Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) has led an equity investment worth more than $500 million into Princeton Digital Group (PDG), a Singapore-based data centre company.

The UAE's Mubadala closed the equity round as a lead investor for $350 million, according to a press release on Tuesday.

PDG's existing shareholders, Warburg Pincus and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers’), also invested in this round.

Princeton will use the fund in strengthening its position as a data center operator and expanding its presence in Japan, India, Singapore, China, and Indonesia.

The CEO of Real Estate and Infrastructure Investments at Mubadala, Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi, commented: "PDG is a leading data center infrastructure platform operating in an attractive market with strong tailwinds and catering to rising demand from the hyperscale segment and more broadly Asia’s digital economies."
