Aramco's profits hike 124% in 2021; dividends proposed

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) registered a 124.42% year-on-year (YoY) surge in net profits after Zakat and tax to SAR 412.4 billion in 2021, compared to SAR 183.76 billion.

The company generated revenues of SAR 1.34 trillion last year, up 75.35% from SAR 768.11 billion in 2020, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.

The earnings per share (EPS) settled at SAR 1.98 in 2021, versus SAR 0.93 in the earlier year.

Meanwhile, the company's board has recommended a cash dividend distribution of SAR 70.33 billion or SAR 0.35 per share for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2021.

It is noteworthy to mention that during the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, Aramco recorded a surge of 158% in net profits after Zakat and tax to SAR 114.09 billion from SAR 44.21 billion in the year-ago period.
