Cairo – Mubasher: Banque du Caire’s net profits after tax stood at EGP 3.60 billion in 2021, a 15% growth from EGP 3.20 billion in 2020, Ahram Gate reported.
Meanwhile, the state-run bank witnessed a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 20% in net profits before tax at EGP 5.80 billion in 2021.
Total operating revenues went up by 8%, reaching EGP 12.80 billion in 2021, compared to EGP 11.90 billion in 2020.
The net income from return was valued at EGP 10.50 billion in 2021, an annual rise of 4% from EGP 10.10 billion.
Meanwhile, the net income from fees and commissions totalled EGP 2 billion, a YoY hike of 24% from EGP 1.60 billion in 2020.
Banque du Caire’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) portfolio has grown 17% to EGP 17.30 billion in 2021, compared to EGP 14.70 in the previous year.
It is worth mentioning that in the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, the bank registered net profits worth EGP 2.70 billion, higher by 7% than EGP 2.50 billion in Q3-20.
