Mubasher: AD Ports Group has partnered with the Egyptian Group for Multipurpose Terminals, the commercial arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Transportation, to jointly supervise the development and operation of Ain Sokhna Port in Egypt.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two companies will undertake a feasibility study on the development of Ain Sokhna Port and cooperate in promoting Egypt's maritime sector, according to a press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, AD Ports and the Egyptian company will focus on potential investment opportunities for Ain Sokhna Port and ways to improve its capacity and capabilities.

The UAE-based company has entered into another agreement with the Egyptian Group for Multi-Purpose Terminals and the River Transport Authority to cooperate on three main projects in Egypt.

These projects include building and operating a river port in Minya, managing and operating warehouses in Damietta, and equipping, managing, and operating passenger lines in Greater Cairo.
