Egyptian stock market falls on Tuesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s session lower by 0.95% at 10,415.54 points.

The EGX50 EWI fell by 1.29% to 1,796.87 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI lost 0.59% to close at 1,832.57 points. EGX100 EWI also went down by 0.88% to 2,750.63 points.

EGX’s trading value amounted to EGP 608.68 million after 320.61 million shares were traded. The market cap value totalled EGP 683.11 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 37.19 million and EGP 28.58 million, respectively, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 65.78 million.
