UAE stock markets close Wednesday on negative note

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session in the red zone.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.86% to close Wednesday's session at 3,235.98 points.

A total of 106.38 million shares were traded through 4,645 transactions valued at AED 300.49 million.

Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) led the rising stocks with 7.67%, while Emirates Refreshments Company (ERC) topped the losing stocks with 9.88%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index retreated by 1.84% to settle at 9,244.16 points by the end of Wednesday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.32 billion after 206.88 million shares had been exchanged through 9,815 transactions.

Abu Dhabi National Co. for Building Materials (Bildco) came on top of the green zone with 8.38%, while Union Insurance Company headed the red zone with 10%.
