Egypt-Oman trade exchange grows 7% in 2021 – CAPMAS

Cairo – Mubasher: The value of the trade exchange between Egypt and Oman has increased by 7.20% year-on-year (YoY) to $586.20 million in 2021 from $546.90 million.

Egypt exported goods worth $163.30 million to Oman last year, marking a 4.10% decline from $170.20 million in 2020, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The majority of goods which Oman imported from Egypt were fruits, with a total value of $30 million.

The Arab republic meanwhile imported Omani goods of $422.90 million in 2021, higher by 12.30% YoY than $376.70 million.

Different ores topped the list of Omani exports to Egypt with a value of $325.90 million.

Egypt reportedly exported goods worth approximately $45.20 billion in 2021, hitting the country’s highest level in history.
