ADIB's profits jump 30% in H1-22

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The net profits attributable to the equity holders of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) jumped by 30% year-on-year (YoY) to AED 1.44 billion in the first half (H1) of 2022 from AED 1.10 billion.

The bank's operating income reached AED 2.83 billion in H1-22, up 7% from AED 2.64 billion in the year-ago period, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.

The bank's assets rose by 9% to AED 141.90 billion as of 30 June 2022, compared to 30 June 2021.

During the second quarter (Q2) of 2022, the bank's net profits hiked by 45% to AED 726 million from AED 501 million in the same period of 2021.

It is noteworthy to mention that in the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, the unaudited consolidated financials of ADIB posted net profits attributable to the equity holders of AED 714.95 million, up 18% YoY from AED 607.39 million.
