Cairo – Mubasher: Indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session in the red territory.

The EGX30 main index inched down by 0.46%, closing at 9,423.1 points, whilst the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI plunged by 1.66% to stand at 1,837.37 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI index went down by 1.29% to finish at 2,699.7 points, and the EGX50 EWI lost 0.75% to settle at 1,710.43 points.

EGX’s trading value amounted to EGP 1.1 billion after 437.9 million shares were exchanged. The market cap value reached EGP 630.8 billion, shrinking by EGP 2.6 billion when compared to Sunday’s session.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP109.9  million and EGP 16.6 million, respectively, whereas foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 126.5 million.
