B Investments’ profit dips to EGP 60.5m in H1-22

Cairo - Mubasher: B Investments Holding’s net profits fell to EGP 60.45 million in the first half (H1) of 2022, compared to EGP 72.51 million in the corresponding period in 2021.

Basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at EGP 0.38 in H1-22, compared to EGP 0.45 in H1-21, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.

Revenues for the six-month period ended 30 June 2022 reached EGP 59.55 million, a drop from EGP 98.93 million in the year-ago period.

As for the standalone business, the EGX-listed company achieved EGP 58.70 million in net earnings over H1-22, down from EGP 93.33 million in H1-21.

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2022, the holding firm’s net profits increased to EGP 38.15 million, compared with EGP 21.88 million in the same period a year earlier.

Likewise, basic EPS grew to EGP 0.24 in Q2-22 from EGP 0.14 in Q2-21, and revenues rose to EGP 44.74 million from EGP 37.63 million.

In the January-March period in 2022, the consolidated net profits of B Investments plunged to EGP 22.30 million, compared to EGP 50.62 million in the year-ago period, including minority shareholders' rights.
