Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The board of Waha Capital  has accepted the resignation of Ahmed Khalifa Al Mehairi from his position as the company’s CEO.

The UAE-based firm noted that the resignation will be effective as of 9 November 2022, adding that the result of searching for his successor as well as further developments will be disclosed in due course, according to a bourse filing.

Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Chairman of Waha Capital, said: “Ahmed leaves the company in a strong financial position and with a clear direction, and I wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

During the first half (H1) of 2022, the company posted a 67% plunge in net profit attributable to the owners to AED 87.28 million, compared to AED 264.48 million in the year-ago period.

Meanwhile, the revenues stood at AED 55.37 million in H1-22, down from AED 65.71 million in H1-21.
