CBE auctions EGP 21.5bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 21.50 billion through two issues on Sunday, 25 September.

Holding a tenor of 91 days until 27 December 2022, the first tranche was valued at EGP 14 billion, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second auction stood at EGP 7.50 billion and will mature in 273 days on 27 June 2023.

On 22 September, the CBE issued T-bills at a total value of EGP 31.50 billion through two offerings.
