Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 27.50 billion through two issues on Monday, 10 October.
The first offering stood at EGP 7.50 billion, carrying a maturity period of 91 days until 10 January 2023, according to official data.
With a 273-day tenor until 11 July next year, the second tranche was valued at EGP 20 billion.
The CBE also issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 250 million through one offering, which will mature in seven years on 11 October 2029.
Moreover, the central bank offered zero-coupon T-bonds at a value of EGP 5.50 billion through one auction, holding a 1.5-year maturity period until 2 April 2024.
On 9 October, the CBE auctioned T-bills and T-bonds at a total value of EGP 32.50 billion over three tranches.
