CBE offers EGP 27.5bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 27.50 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 23 October.

Holding a tenor of 91 days until 24 January 2023, the first offering was valued at EGP 7.50 billion, according to official data.

The second auction stood at EGP 20 billion, carrying a 273-day maturity period until 25 July next year.

On 20 October, the CBE offered T-bills at a total value of EGP 25.50 billion through two issues.
