Cairo – Mubasher: The Arab Actuarial Conference 2023 is scheduled to kick off in Cairo during 9-11 May 2023, for the first time in the MENA region, according to a press release.

The three-day event will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel under the theme “The World from an Actuarial Eye” for practicing actuaries, actuarial firms, businesses, and government departments relying on actuarial services in the Arab region.

Bahrain-based savings and pensions tech provider Fintech Robos will be organising the conference with the support of financial regulators, actuarial societies, insurance and reinsurance federations, as well as key insurers in the market.

The Arab Actuarial Conference 2023 will be fully hybrid by offering in-person and virtual attendance, bringing together nearly 500 delegates from the financial, pension, government, economic, and academic sectors.

CEO of Fintech Robos, Ebrahim Ebrahim, said: “Actuaries specialise in assessing the financial impact associated with such macroeconomic events and can give insight into how our present and our futures will be affected.”

Ebrahim added: “We also want to build an industry platform for the actuarial profession in the Arab world, like the well-known international and regional actuarial conferences.”

The conference will focus on different topics of interest to actuaries, government executives, insurance, capital markets, and individuals interested in the management of risks facing humanity. A total of 18 sessions will be introduced under six main sections; actuaries and government, actuaries and pension, actuaries and finance, actuaries and regulators, actuaries and insurance, as well as actuaries and technology.
