Cairo – Mubasher: The General Authority of Sokhna Customs has collected EGP 3.70 billion in taxes, customs duties, and other charges at Ain Sokhna Port in November 2022.

The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at the port amounted to EGP 1.60 billion last month, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Sunday.

In addition, the value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on imported goods stood at EGP 2.70 billion. The imported goods include components of air conditioners, fridges, fans, fabrics, threads, car spare parts, mobile phone accessories, and toys.

Moreover, the port exported goods that include marble, sand, phosphate, and fibreglass at a total value of EGP 5.55 billion. Charges collected for the exported goods reached EGP 3.26 million.
